As well as the tuned sound and drone eliminating sound, the mufflers use a straight-thru flow design for maximum flow and the least amount of restriction. Decreasing the restrictive back-pressure results in more horsepower and torque, as well as the inspired sound this system creates for your E39 M5's V8 engine. The sound has been described as "Nurburgring meets Talladega". This is a cat-back slip-on system, which replaces the center resonator and rear muffler section of your E39 M5's exhaust.
