Our Mk5 R32 Style Catback Exhaust has all of the features that made our Mk5 GTI/GLI Exhaust Systems such a success: Great looks, perfect fitment, dyno proven gains and an amazing sound!
To install our R32 style catback, you must also have the OEM R32 Rear Bumper installed. If you don't have it add the option above and we will ship it with the exhaust !
This catback system is topped off with our signature 3.5" beveled exhaust tips, available in Polished Silver or Diamond Black finishes. The tips sport crisp A.W.E. Tuning logos and are double walled to ensure no discoloration even under hard usage. The system has multiple slip joints with high quality t-bolt clamps, to allow optimal adjustment.
Our catback system will mate up to the stock downpipe or any other downpipe that is designed to mate to the factory catback exhaust.

** About the Optional MK5 R32 Style Bumper conversion kit
The MK5 R32 Style Bumper conversion kit is an OEM factory part combination that makes the addition of the AWE Tuning R32 Style Exhaust a no brainer. It's the same kit used on our AWE Tuning Time Attack winning MK5 GTI, and offers a perfect, OE look that brings out the AWE Tuning R32-Style Exhaust perfectly.

The kit will allow you to simply build out your MK5 with the center dual-tip look, simply, easily and cleanly.
Why did we choose 2.5 inch and not 3.0 inch diameter for our MK5 exhaust? Our first prototypes of this system were indeed 3.0 inch, but we found that the effort it took to move the large mass of air in the 3.0 inch system at lower rpms resulted in a loss of torque with very little offsetting gain up top. Take a look at our 3.0 inch prototype dyno sheets in the next tab over and see why a 3.0 inch system is not appropriate for this car.
