This is an updated part from Volkswagen that replaces the defective OEM unit. The early units did not have a built in check valve and commonly leaked under pressure, causing driveability issues and external oil leaks. It is recommened that you replace this unit in conjunction with the updated PCV to keep your PCV system failsafe.
Part is located on the back left hand side of the engine.
