This is by far one of the best engineered and designed intakes on the market for the Gen 2 MINI Cooper S and Clubman S. Unlike some competitors, NM’s intake features an integrated larger turbo inlet tube. CNC mandrel bent aluminum pipe, stainless brackets and silicone couplings that are all designed, engineered and manufactured to fit and perform. The inlet tube is available in both Black and Blue. The whole system looks stunning when installed. Designed and manufactured in the USA, which is a nice benefit. Dyno runs show a peak HP gain of 13.1 at 4500 RPM and a peak HP of 208.4 at 6350 RPM in 3rd gear.

NM Engineering introduces the complete intake system for the turbocharged model MINI Cooper S. Unlike some competitors, NM’s intake features an integrated larger turbo inlet tube. The stainless brackets, hardware and silicone couplings were all designed, engineered and manufactured to fit and perform.

The 'Open-Air-Box' system gives you the abundance and unrestricted 360° of air source compared to OEM's sealed air box with flat filter and tube fed air source. During R&D, we installed temperature probes around the engine compartment and the gauge showed the inside temperature matched the ambient after vehicle sped past 20 mph. And by logging the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor also showed that open-air-box intake generated higher volume (gr/sec) of air going through the sensor. So when we had to choose between (a) cooler air at all speed with limited air source, vs. (b) cooler air at 20~ mph. with unlimited air source, the choice was pretty obvious.

The blue and black tube kits feature CNC mandrel bent aluminum pipe and finished with durable textured powder coat. The other option is Carbon Fiber tubing which features 100% carbon fiber composite material to be lightweight and for great appearance. Utilizing vacuum bag manufacturing method produces a part that has consistent wall thickness, while avoiding excessive resin build-up.
