Description

The throttle position sensor, or TPS, is a sensor that is used to monitor the position of the throttle. This sensor provides a variable resistance dependent upon the position of the valve. It also sends information to the ECU to help control the ignition timing and fuel injection timing. This sensor is used in TDI manual transmissions for the drive-by-wire system.
