POWERFLEX PERFORMANCE PARTS

Bushing detereoration can cause excessive tire wear, braking instability, and poor handling. This is the single biggest reason you can instantly tell the difference driving a three year old car and a new one.

Powerflex bushings offer much more effective control of the suspension components in your vehicle, and are a massive upgrade from typical rubber components.

By correctly engineering the polyurethane compound, Powerflex bushings can be made 25-30% stiffer than new rubber items but with exactly the same noise absorbing properties.

BUSHINGS

Powerflex polyurethane bushings are designed to decrease the amount of deflection in your car's suspension which improves handling, driver feedback, and tire wear. Powerflex uses their own premium polyurethane formulation to provide minimal NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) and increased longevity over stock rubber bushings.

Bushings are produced in one of three durometers – Yellow (70A, approximately 25% stiffer than stock), Purple (80A, approximately 30% stiffer than stock), and Black (95A, approximately 80% stiffer than stock). Unlike other brands using only one urethane grade for all applications, Powerflex design engineers choose the correct hardness to allow for the specific movement or rigidity required for each location while minimizing unwanted NVH.

TUNEABLE ENGINE MOUNTS

Other urethane engine mounts are made with a single solid urethane block of one durometer. This is simple and cheap to manufacture but is not ideal for most scenarios - the mount is either too stiff or not stiff enough and poor manufactuing quality leads to continued problems.

Powerflex properly engineered their mount to absorb vibrations while providing exceptional strength and sheer resistance. The design uses a "soft" Red 65A urethane to absorb Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) with a stiffer Purple 80A urethane for improved strength and performance. If you desire a stiffer mount for tracking or drifting the mount can be made stiffer without removing it from the car! Unsnap the yellow retaining collar and insert the four stiffening rods. This reduces deflection in the mount and makes it stronger.

The beauty of the Powerflex tunebale mount is that it can be adapted for changing conditions, unlike other urethane or solid mounts which are either too stiff or not stiff enough.
