Engine Oil Separators are an important component of the exhaust gas recirculation system. They extract residues such as oil drops from the air before it is sent back to the intake manifold. This prevents premature combustion of the gas-air mixture in engines as well as a degraded performance. When not replaced, oil vapors can also coat the air intake with an oily film, gradually clogging the air flow over time.
