The engine crank shaft pulley will transfer energy from the engine to the accessories like the alternator, water pump, air conditioning, and power steering pump. This pulley is pretty durable, but would need to be replaced is it became warped or you may need a differ ent pulley if you were to add a new accessories (like A/C).
