New APR Exhaust System for the MK8 GTI

If you're an enthusiast wanting to unlock the full potential of your MK8 GTI, the new APR Catback Exhaust System will allow you to personalize your vehicle's looks, sounds, and performance!

Their new exhaust is hand crafted with T304-stainless steel and looks great with its stunning TIG welding throughout. The system is designed to allow exhaust to flow straight through the mufflers for a smooth exhaust tone and deep growl. The high-quality brackets are designed with OEM style clamps to keep everything in place and allow for an easy install and proper fitment. 3” mandrel-bent exhaust provides an ultra-smooth path without added restrictions, which feed out to the twin 2.5” exit pipes. To top it all off, removable 4” polished slash-cut exhaust tips add the finishing details to the motorsport-inspired look to the rear of your vehicle. Allof this is done while looking clean and tidy. APR’s MK8 Catback Exhaust system uses larger piping compared to the factory system, but weighs 9% less. The main APR Tubing has a cross-sectional area up to 60% larger than stock and provides a much sportier look.

Muffler / Resonator

The rear muffler assembly is a dual Helmholtz resonator and muffler in one fully integrated package. The entire system is a straight-through with a 3” inlet splitting evenly to a dual 2.5” setup for the vehicles dual tip configuration. Exhaust gasses pass through the muffler, which smoothes out the exhaust note via perforated tubing tightly wrapped with stainless steel and fiberglass material. Unwanted frequencies are eliminated in the dual Helmholtz resonators. Exhaust gasses then pass unrestricted through for maximum performance.

Brackets

The brackets are designed to ensure strong and precise fitment. You won’t have to worry about brackets sagging and losing shape over time, or posts slipping from hangers. The rigid brackets fit snugly in place and are made to last.

Tubing and Welds

The stainless steel mandrel bent tubing allows for a free flowing design and minimizes restrictions. The stunning TIG welds are strong and attractive.

Exhaust Tips

The polished slash-cut 4” exhaust tips upgrade the rear of the vehicle dramatically. The tips tuck nicely into the factory valance, gently following the valence’s curves and demanding all the right attention in all the right places. 

Includes Additional Hanger

They’ve even included an extra bracket and rubber hanger to the system to make sure of an unused factory mounting point. This ensure the system installs and fits snugly in place as well as does not move after prolonged use.

Hardware Clamps

OEM-style low-profile slip clamps and T304 stainless-steel Torca AccuSeal clamps are used for the exhaust tips. This allows the system to sit high in the exhaust tunnel, and is favored by lowered vehicles, with ultimate compatibility no matter what mid pipe you may have. The clamps make it easy for swapping the exhaust tips for any of APR's other options.
