Here's the latest release of our new version II carbon mirror covers for the Mercedes-Benz W205 C Class, including C43 and C63 AMG. These version II dry carbon mirror covers weigh only 121 grams VS the version I ABS plastic overlay at 239 grams on each side; that's almost half the weight shaved! Besides the mounting clips, it's made of 100% carbon fiber, lighter weight, and high tensile strength than our ABS plastic overlay version.

Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure appropriately. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon.
