Carbon build-up is no joke! The combination of oil vapor and hot EGR gases is detrimental to the intake and engine of your 335D. Even with low mileage some have reported carbon build-up in their intake along with the dreaded fault codes that it causes.

By blocking off your EGR at the exhaust manifold as well as the EGR valve you can not only stop CBU immediately but insure yourself against any failure of the EGR cooler.
