Designed specifically for vehicles equipped with the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine, the Unitronic Intercooler Upgrade is a direct OEM replacement engineered to dramatically improve charge-air cooling efficiency and reduce heat soak under aggressive driving conditions.

Efficient Cooling for Maximized Power

When intake air temperatures reach a critical threshold, the engine control unit compensates to protect the engine, resulting in reduced performance. Unitronic’s oversized intercooler core measures 24" x 10.2" x 3.54" (610mm x 260mm x 90mm), representing a 71% increase in volume compared to the factory intercooler.

This significant increase in core volume allows for greater heat exchange, resulting in lower intake air temperatures and more consistent power output during repeated high-load driving.

Proven Results

Unitronic conducted stress testing using six consecutive dyno pulls, with a 20-second pull followed by a 30-second cool-down period between runs. Intake air temperatures were recorded for both the OEM intercooler and the Unitronic intercooler under identical conditions.

The Unitronic Intercooler demonstrated a significant reduction in intake air temperatures compared to stock, resulting in cooler, denser air entering the engine and improved resistance to heat soak.
