AWE Track Edition Axleback Exhaust for BMW G2X

Beginning after the secondary catalyst, the AWE Track Edition Axleback Exhaust picks up just before the rear axle and routes a full single 3” exhaust before splitting into dual 3” tip outlets. With absolutely zero sound filtering, the Track Edition is engineered to significantly increase exhaust volume from the B48 engine while remaining completely 50-state emissions compliant.

Installation is straightforward and requires a simple cut at the factory cut point. The Track Edition installs using four bolt-on components, and an included factory sleeve clamp allows drivers to easily revert back to the stock rear section if ever needed.

AWE Touring Edition Axleback Exhaust for BMW G2X

The AWE Touring Edition shares the same routing and layout as its Track Edition counterpart, with the key difference being the inclusion of AWE’s patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®.

Thanks to its straight-through design and lack of traditional packing material, the Touring Edition maintains maximum exhaust flow and increased exterior volume while controlling unwanted cabin drone. The result is a more refined and composed interior experience without sacrificing performance or sound quality.

Sound Perfection: 180 Technology® by AWE
As exhaust gases exit the B48 engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically placed ports into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these gases reflect within the chambers, and by controlling the size and location of these ports and chambers, AWE controls when the sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow. This precise timing creates a 180-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. Call it science, call it magic, or call it 180 Technology® by AWE.

(Critical Intel) Which Option Should You Choose?

BMW 330i: With all factory emissions equipment in place, the AWE Track Edition for the BMW 330i exhaust is recommended for drivers seeking a more aggressive exhaust presence inside the cabin. If future upstream modifications are planned, the Touring Edition is the better choice. Otherwise, the Touring Edition may resemble stock sound levels within the cabin.

BMW 430i: Due to the coupe body style, interior acoustics differ from the sedan, allowing additional frequencies into the cabin. With factory emissions equipment in place, AWE recommends the AWE Touring Edition 430i exhaust to ensure a balanced and enjoyable driving experience. While the Track Edition is an option, it may be excessive for some drivers, especially if upstream components are modified.

Exhaust Tip Options

Both AWE Touring and Track Edition Exhausts come standard with dual 4.5” double-walled, slash-cut tips, available in chrome silver or diamond black.
