BMW E46 (60782A) Manual to Automatic Transmission Conversion Information

Bulletin Note: Since the introduction of the BMW E46 3 Series there have been a few challenges when converting the radiator from a manual to an automatic transmission. The Nissens version comes with the manual valve as a default. With each radiator a second valve (for auto transmissions) is included along with instructions. One area that has caused some difficulty is the fact that the auto transmission valve can be installed backwards.

The Nissens Radiator flat tube and double folded fin design offers a significantly better cooling capacity and provides a stronger exterior resisting impacts from stones.

This advanced design helps to prevent damage which would negatively affect the cooling capacity and engine performance.
