Overview 

The factory oil filter housing on the EA837 3.0T engine is notorious for warping and leaking. The cartridge filter system also has anti-drain back valves that can leak, which allowing oil to be retained inside the filter during shutdown completely draining the housing.

Every oil change includes a fresh anti-drain-back valve built into each filter can, ensuring consistent oil pressure protection.
