Tuning has always meant picking a stage and living with whatever features came baked into that file. 034Motorsport is changing that with VariSpec, a customization suite built directly into the 034SPI app that hands you direct control over how your Dynamic+ tune behaves, instead of locking you into one fixed calibration.
Rather than being limited to a single calibration philosophy, VariSpec lets you configure specific engine, exhaust, drivetrain, and transmission features to match your hardware, driving style, and personal preferencesa ll from the same easy-to-use 034SPI interface on mobile or laptop. From a more refined, daily-friendly character to a full motorsport-inspired setup, VariSpec puts the tune in your hands.
Supported Applications
VariSpec is live now on the B8/B8.5 & C7 EA837 3.0T platform, and 034Motorsport has since expanded it to the B9/B9.5 EA839 2.9T/3.0T lineup, with more platforms on the way:

What You Can Customize
VariSpec options are all configured right inside the 034SPI app before you flash, so you can set everything up exactly how you want before you ever hit the road. Depending on your platform and model, available features include:
Crackle Overrun (B9/B9.5 only, excludes 4M.5/4M8) Dial in your own soundtrack with adjustable crackle duration, intensity, and firing pattern, whether you want a few subtle pops on spirited drives or a full motorsport-inspired character. On B8/B8.5 & C7 EA837, this is available as Mild, Spicy, or Off with an adjustable slider when a Racing Catalyst is selected.
Racing Catalyst / Exhaust Flap Control On B8/B8.5 & C7 EA837, selecting a Racing Catalyst (sanctioned racing use only) enables ignition-cut Advanced Launch Control in Dynamic mode and unlocks additional exhaust-related features. On B9/B9.5 (excludes 4M.5/4M8), Exhaust Flap Control lets you choose between Factory, Dynamic+ Optimized, Always Open, and Valveless Mode for cars running aftermarket exhaust systems.
Catalyst Heating Control Enable or disable catalyst heating to fine-tune cold start behavior, leave it on for OEM-style warm-up, or turn it off for a quieter, more subdued start. Stage 2 and Stage 3 customers on B9/B9.5 can further customize this behavior; for sanctioned racing use only.
RS Start (3.0T models only) Available on applicable EA839 3.0T applications, RS Start adds a performance-car startup sequence with a brief flare of engine speed when starting the vehicle.
Auto Start/Stop Control Configure the default behavior of Auto Start/Stop, or disable it entirely so your car works the way you want every time you drive.
Advanced Launch Control Set your launch RPM anywhere from 1,500–5,000 RPM using your cruise control stalk, giving you precise control based on your tires, surface, and power level. DL501/AL551 automatics need the corresponding Dynamic+ TCU software to use this feature; manual transmissions don't require any additional software.
Launch Grip (RS5 only) For cars on high-grip tires or drag racing on a prepped surface, enabling High Grip increases the torque applied in 1st gear when using launch control.
Top Speed Limiter Keep the factory speed limiter in place, or remove it entirely for closed-course and sanctioned racing use.
Warm Idle Target Raise your idle speed up to 900 RPM to help reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) when running upgraded engine or transmission mounts and other performance drivetrain parts.
Stock TCU Performance Patch For cars with a locked or untuned factory transmission, this safely unlocks the full torque output of your Dynamic+ ECU tune without requiring immediate TCU tuning.
Throttle Body Upgrade Selection Running an upgraded throttle body? Specify SüperDüper, INA, or other Hemi-style throttle bodies at any stage of tuning so your throttle mapping and airflow calibration are dialed in for your exact setup.
Left Foot Braking Enable simultaneous brake and throttle inputs for brake boosting and advanced driving techniques — for track use only.
Rolling KLi-MAX Brings 034Motorsport's AMAX-inspired shift strategy to rolling acceleration scenarios, for faster, more aggressive shifts under heavy load.
Kickdown Switch Enabled in Manual Mode (3.0T models only) Choose whether kickdown stays active while in Manual mode, allowing forced downshifts at full throttle while still keeping manual gear selection.
No Auto Upshift (3.0T models only) Available on supported TCU applications, this lets the engine hold gears all the way to redline until you decide to shift.
Second Gear Launch (3.0T Stage 3 TCU applications only) Helps reduce wheelspin and improve consistency when launching in low-traction conditions.
Gear Display Shows your current gear directly in the instrument cluster.
Forced Sport Mode Don't have Audi Drive Select? Force Sport Mode on anyway! Which also unlocks access to ignition-cut Advanced Launch Control and crackle features on supported platforms.
How It Works
Everything happens through the 034SPI mobile flashing app. When you go to select your tuning files, you'll see these customization options laid out right in the interface. Configure your settings, confirm, and flash, the same simple process you already know, just with a lot more say in how the final product drives.
Built to Grow
VariSpec launched on B8/B8.5 & C7 EA837 3.0T and has already expanded to B9/B9.5 EA839 2.9T/3.0T, with 4M.5 Q7 & 4M8 Q8 3.0T support on the way. 034Motorsport plans to continue rolling VariSpec out across additional supported tuning platforms going forward, so more of your build will be able to take advantage of it over time.
