The UroTuning crew made its way out to Daytona International Speedway for the start of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season this past weekend, with the first race being the BMW M Endurance Challenge, supporting the Rolex 24 Hour endurance race! We accompanied the Unitronic JDC-Miller team and their #17 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport entry into the GS class. UroTuing is proud to be supporting the team for both the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the upcoming Mobile 1 Tweleve Hours of Sebring!
Practice went off without a hitch, with Chris Miller later placing the #17 into P13 in qualifying on Thursday!
Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Daytona 2026 Season Opener
Come race time on Friday, the teams Cayman GT4 RS was forced to be retired due to engine troubles, but with the help of Porsche Motorsport North America and competitor CSM Motorsport, a quick replacement was found for the Unitronic JDC-Miller squad. This decision ultimately helped the team prepare the car for the race and take the green flag for the race!
Despite the setbacks, the #17 car successfully saw the checkered flag, crossing the line in P28. We know the team is just as excited as we are to get back out there at Sebring International Raceway to find stronger footing on March 18th-21st.
