Due to popular demand, all of our 2-piece, lightweight rotors will now come with black anodized rotor hats featuring Type 3, hard anodizing, the highest quality and hardest anodizing available for aluminum. This will make the rotor hats more resistant to fade and wear and will hide brake dust better. Due to popular, demand all lightweight rotor rings will also feature zinc plating. This high quality coating will slow the effects of corrosion and keep your rotor rings looking good through the winters.

 

Shaves 22lbs of unsprung weight from the front of your car while increasing braking performance, plus they bolt on just like stock! This is great alternative to a full on Big Brake Kit since the stock C7 A6-A7 and D4 A8 is a stout 356mm and most may not want to spend $2,000 plus for a full Big Brake Kit. It is also a great alternative to those drag racing who are considering going to a smaller rotor and caliper setup while not losing any braking power. We basically brought the same high performance great cooling designed rotor to these drop in (fit like stock) front rotors and at a 1/4 of the price or less of a full Big Brake Kit.

CAUTION: To optimize weight reduction in these rotors for peak performance, we've employed a larger rotor hat to minimize the total amount of excess rotor ring. As a consequence, the minimum pad thickness required is 4.5 millimeters before necessitating a brake pad replacement. It's important to note that your brake pad warning indicator may not activate in this scenario. Neglecting to replace your brake pads before reaching this threshold could result in contact between the caliper clip and the rotor hat. Please exercise due diligence in monitoring your brake pad thickness to ensure safe and reliable braking performance. This can be easily done with most wheels by just looking at the clip in relation to the outer edge of the hat.

Outer ring specs:
We worked closely with a race brake manufacturer that supplies many NASCAR racers and a couple major brake kit companies. Due to their expertise we chose to have them build us the outer rings to our specs to fit the C7 A6-A7 and D4 A8. 12 attachment points with 1/4 inch zinc plated bolts for durability and strength.

Center hat specs:
We CNC machine the Aluminum center hats in house based on their recommended materials and thicknesses for durability. 12 attachment points for durability and strength. We also engrave JHM in them in 3 locations equal from each other, it looks clean and doesn't jump out or look tacky.

Please note: JH Motorsports does not recommend using EBC brake pads with our 2-piece lightweight rotors. Customer have reported and we have found EBC pads leave excessive pad deposits that can cause brake pulsation. Many EBC pads have a break in coating that reacts with the zinc plating used on our rotors
